This is my first time ever seeing these things, totally copper plated (not washed, like those from NBC). Very cool! They seem to have all the cost advantage of lead bullets and all the shooting advantages of copper jackets.
Anyone ever use these things? Do I use the loads for lead, or copper jacket, as the copper plating is nice and think on 'em? Any favorite loads with 40S&W 180gn? Thanks Tom ------------------ A "Miss" is the ultimate overpenetration! You can never be too rich, too skinny, or too well armed! |

I just finished useing 500 of berry's in 9MM
124 Flat Nose and they were very accurate. Berry's bullets are plated with about .006 to .007" of copper, so I used the starting charge of Jacket loading Info. Or You could go with the high end of lead powder loads. Make sure you'r OAL is correct If you are unsure call berry's for the OAL. No more leading barrels and no more toxic lead fumes!!!! 180gn 5gn Bullseye, 1000 fps THEY ROCK!!!!!!!!! Just bought another box of 1000 180gn and 1000 155grainers! They are like driving a tack in a knat's butt at 15 yards. My Sig 229 eats 'em up and makes one ragged hole the size of my palm at 15 yards! The best I've ever shot! Tom ------------------ A "Miss" is the ultimate overpenetration! They're okay but try Montana Gold bullets, FMJ at copper-plated prices!

Are you guys really finding good prices on these bullets?
Right now I use Rem 115 JHP 9mm from Midway for under $49 per 1000 including shipping. I've never seen any FMJ or copper jacketed for enough less than this to bother getting any. I'd be willing to switch if there are places that you can get the kind of bullets discussed in thread that are significantly cheaper than my current choice. Please let me know if any of you are getting good bullets for cheaper than what I am! |

Reg,
I shoot 45ACP and buy my bullets form Montana Gold Bullets. I buy 2300 (1 case) of 185gn JHP for $157.00 to my doorstep. These are accurrate and consistent bullets. They sell the 9mm load you specified for $46.00 /1000 to you doorstep. A case of 4000 is $176.00 to your door. The only problem I have with them is that they are sometimes hard to get ahold of by telephone. They do respond to email though. I have been ordering from them for the last 6 months or so and am very pleased. Their web address is: http://www.montanagoldbullet.com/ Evan Edit...BTW Reg, the 115gn FMJ sells for $44.00 / 1000. here is a place to get good low cost lead or copper bullets. The ship fast and the copper are very accurate.
