Age of an old SW .38 Bodyguard

I have what looks like an older model bodyguard.
The serial number starts with: J882
Any idea as to the age of this handgun?
Is there any place online that I can find out?
I don't need the exact ship date, but the approx. year would help.

1981?

Does it have a pinned barrel?

If it’s J882, J882x, or J882xx then 1969/70.
If it’s J882xxx then it’s 1981.

Yes, it is XXX so looks like 1981 is the winner.
