I read in a previous thread (the one about the deployed soldier and his wife) Where someone suggested she go to the range and shoot up a paper target (pref. a Human silhouette) and hang it on the front door.
I wouldn't want to call that bluff. |

A good flashlight seems obvious to me. I keep a 4 D-cell Mag-Lite by the bed at night. Not only is it good and bright, but it doubles as a club should the need arise.
