45-70 cast bullets ?
I have 100 350gr hardcast bullets for my marlin 1895 and was wondering if you guys had any loads around 1500fps? These are not gas checked. They are from kansas city cast bullet co.I have RE-7,IMR-3031
and H-4198 powders on hand. How fast can i shoot non gas checked bullets? Will these lead up my barrel?

You don't, by any chance know the exact hardness of the bullets, do you? I get non-checked bullets above 2000 fps. These are bullets I cast myself and are very hard. I use zink, among other things to get a very hard alloy. With a 350, you can get 1585 fps with 52 grains of IMR3031. You can get about 1500 fps with 40.6 grains of Re-7 or 39.4 grains of H4198. Good luck.
