Quote or reply a post.

Would it be possible to do this? Often I see a post and would like to quote it to answer questions the OP asked.

Read this short thread: How do I quote from a post?

Pay particular attention to post #4. Want to learn more? Read post #10 from that thread.

Thanks. Now I need to figure out how to cut and paste from my phone
Is there a reason the quote function was disabled?

You, yourself, have given the reason over at THR why the quote button was removed here at TFL:

Folks were quoting long posts and adding a "Me too." to it. One would think that after quoting a long post, they would edit the quote to include only the text they wanted to use, but that just doesn't happen.

Making the quote process a little more difficult than just pressing a button makes the forum threads a great deal cleaner without all the redundant text.

I do agree with you over there that the Xenforo system of using a contracted quote from a previous post is far better than the full quote system vBulletin uses.
