Well I was able to get to the range today to try out my new loads with Titegroup powder.
What I did was copy the loads that I had made with W231 But use Titegroup.and shot about 70 rounds of each to compare.

The new loads were about twice as clean and
accuracy was incredibly better. Not just a little differance but alot.

Looks like I have found a new powder for my
9MM target loads.

Thanks for all your Input!!!

I hear good things about this Titegroup stuff. For the informal plinking that I do, and at the distance I typically shoot, target-grade accuracy is not foremost of my concerns for powder selection.

I do like clean burning powders though. I have shot some reloads from one of my local ranges that were really dirty loads. They didn't have a lot of muzzle flash, but they produced a heck of a lot of smoke and soot on the gun after firing. Yuuck!

Any of you have some clean burning powder recommendations? I am going to start reloading for .38/.357, 9mm, .40S&W, .44 Spl/Mag

Thanks for your help.

Cougar,

If you want loads in the 'medium' range Hodgdon Universal Clays works wonderfully in all the calibers you list.

Much like Unique but much much cleaner, and easy-metering, too.
