remington 1100 410 question
hello. my father just bought this older remington 1100 410 from an estate auction and I was wondering if this is the field model? 25" barell. not sure how to tell. I looked up year of shotgun and believe its a 1970. ("CT") on side of barell. Thanks.

It doesn't appear to have a vent rib or recoil pad. If so it's a field model. The skeet models had ribs and skeet choke. Look on the side of the barrel for the choke constriction. If you provide the serial number to Remington they can tell you the year it was manufactured.
