Browning Twelvette

Anybody have or had a Browning Twelvette 2-shot auto. I fill in sometimes at our local gunshop and they just got one in on trade. I could pick it up for a very reasonable price. Any experiences with this one, anyone?.....RW

Ravenwolf- I've got a Twelvette that I bought from my Dad in '67. It's a wonderful shotgun! It's my number one choice for my upland game--my Beretta O/U just stays in the safe . I have shot everything up to 1 1/2 mags, but keep it to 1 1/4oz and below now. Light weight, works every time, and it's just a beautiful gun. I've always wanted to buy another, but the only one I've seen in a gunshop had a bolt that did not stay open when unloaded...I didn't want to buy a broke one. There were versions with either steel or aluminum receivers & vented or plain barrels. The Browning museum in Utah has several of these on display--real neat. I'd give it a strong "buy"!
