Glock 30 with 13+1 rounds of .45 ACP (or 10+1 rounds if I need a little deeper concealment).
I also have a Glock 36 with 6+1 rounds of .45 ACP for even deeper concealment, but rarely need it this time of year. |

In order of frequency:
I carry in an IWB holster 85% of the time: 1.) a .45 ACP, 1911, 7+1 shot, Compact (3" bbl) Para-Ordnance Slim Hawg. Also in an IWB holster about 10% of the time: 2.) .357 SS Revolver, 5 shot, (3" bbl) Ruger SP-101. Pocket carry only: 3.) .38 Special, 5 shot snub-nosed S&W Model 38 Air-Weight Bodyguard. Best. Will

It depends on the weather, and the clothes I'm wearing, but usually in order:
Glock 19 or 23 or 32, which ever begs to be let out of the safe! S&W M&P 9c S&W 442 Sig P6 If it's cooler out and I wear my Sig Tac coat then I will carry either a M&P 40 full size or my Sig 2 tone 226 40 cal. |

why carry?
Do all you guys carry on duty, or because you are in a carry state?
When you carry concealed, is it because you can, or because you need protection. When you need protection, is it in your home turf, or when you go "downtown". When in your own home, do you carry in the abode. I have carried since I was 18 years old, in three states. I started in the US Air Force, when I was 17, as a Security Policeman. As a tool of the trade, I just got used to having it, but always felt it was so personal, I never wanted anyone to know I did. I felt self conscience about it. It's a political statement, as much as a fashion statement. I am in a prison state, now. You can barely even own a firearm, it's pathetic. I have carried here, at my own peril, but I do carry on my own property, discreetly. I am hopeful that soon, we will be allowed to be free, and respected enough to be trusted to bear arms. I tried to find a thread on this subject, but nothing popped up, so I thought I'd throw it up here and see if I could hang my hat on it.

I carry a 9mm, P250, 16+1, compact, Sig Saur. Awesome gun, goes bang every time. I carry IWB in a Comp-Tac Minatoar Spartan, really comfortable and does a great job of concealing my firearm.

Kahr PM40. Fits in front pocket, IWB holster, Leg Holster or jacket pocket with no problem. Only carry with the 5 round mag.

Well, I already answered that I carried my S&W 40 M&P but I just bought a S&W 642. It is light and a very accurate shooting revolver. So far, I love it!

Carry on duty (plain clothes LEO, fulltime) and off duty: Sig, either 226 or 229/40 S&W in a Miami Classic shoulder holster, and a springer 1911 strong side waist, covered by either a light vest or light jacket. I like the two gun mode. Will soon change to the 226 in the shoulder holster holster and 229 on the strong side waist. Same manual of arms, and same magazines (the 226 works in both) Woot!!
