Savage Mod. 69 PXL Riot Gun Question

This Riot Shotgun came to me with a "failure to eject" problem. Pictured are the pieces of broken parts I removed.

I'm not sure that this is the correct ejector, as all the drawings and pictures I can find show the Mod 30,66 etc. "housing, plunger, spring" style ejector, that appears to mount in the same place as the "flat spring" ejector, that I removed. (single screw thru the reciever) I can't find any reference to a "flat spring" style ejector for this Model.

Anybody know what part belongs in there, an/or have a source?
