Anyone shot one? Opinions? I have nice rifles and safe queens. I am looking for an accurate, dependable rifle to leave on my Polaris Ranger and consequently beat the fool out of.

I just got one in 6.5 Creedmoor that after rebate will be $200 including taxes. For a new rifle with an accuracy guarantee for $200 that's the best deal going.

I have one in 243. The only knock is the plastic the stock is made of is a little soft. I think there are harder, more expensive polymers around. The trigger is very good but a tad stiff. I think the barrel and finish are deserving of a much higher price tag.
Overall it is a very nice outfit. I have a VX-3i scope on mine. I have shot a clover leaf group at 100 yd. with 90 gr. accubond reloads. Shoots most loads very close to 1in. groups at 100M.
Would recommend for a great seasonal hunting rifle or truck gun.

Ok, mine came in a couple days ago. First off, the trigger is excellent but heavy. 5 lbs was as low as I could get it to adjust. So, I did a trigger job on it and it is now 2lbs. Took it to the range and fed it my 6.5 Creed130 Berger load I have worked up for my bench gun. 5 shots .4" @100 yd. Not bad for under $200. We won't mention its wearing a $600 scope.

I bought one in .223, it's very accurate, pretty smooth operating and very enjoyable to shoot. The three lug bold and cylinder shaped bolt knob are pretty smooth for a $200 rifle.

So have any of you shot these rifles yet? If so how are they shooting for you, and how are the ergonomics? I have to drive 90 miles to any store that carries these rifles to find one to handle . Plus honestly I'm not that interested in them, but I didn't have much bad to say about the TC Venture that I used to own.

I gave a range report above. Honestly, It is an improved Venture with a cheaper stock. Improvements are old type Mod 77 winchester trigger and win type 3 position safety. The stock looks cheap, but is pillar bedded. The only thing I can fault it with is the stupid name "compass."

I ordered a compass to keep on my UTV.

I just received my 2 TC Compasses in 204 Ruger this week. I have not gotten the scopes mounted yet but the initial impression is I like the look and feel of it better than my Savage Axis and B-Mag. I like the feel of the "regular" trigger, never could get used to the bladed style like the Accutrigger. I have never held a Ruger American so I can't say how it feels compared to them. I have a couple scopes that needed a home so for $199.99 shipped (after $75 rebate) I figured I'd give them a chance

I have about 2 boxes of Hornady 150s through my Compass 30/06. After the trigger was adjusted and sighted in off of a barrel with no real rest i was hitting a 10 inch gong at 300 yards. I put a Vortex 3x9 crossfire II on it.
The rifle says Smith &Wesson on the receiver. I believe they are a step above theSavage and the Remington 780 or whatever the Remington budget rifle is.. I had a Rem 770 that while accurate enough was the clunkiest piece of garbage around. I have minimal experience with the American.
The magazine on the compass is not finnicky and the bolt is smooth on extraction but can fetch on closing a bit. with some work the trigger can be pretty damn good also. I am getting what I need to reload for it now so no real accuracy tests yet but it looks promising. The stock while cheap is totally free floated and pillar bedded and does what it needs to do. I am going to try some Hornady 178 or heavier ELD-M and some 170+SMK. Hope to make this a 500 yard powerline gun with the Hornady 175 ELD hunting bullet. Time will tell thats all I got for ya.
Oh I got this on Black friday for 190 bucks with rebate and filling out a dicks credit app and the sale.

I would like to hear from others that have more range time on this as well.

Take a look at the TC Venture series that are still around. Great guns for around $350-400ish.

The Venture is not going to be discontinued. It remains as the higher end rifle in the TC bolt line up.
