Tampa Ranges that allow drawing from a holster.

Hey guys, I live in Tampa and i'm looking for a range that allows you to draw from a holster. Any ideas? I've been to indoorshootingcompany and shoot straight both of which don't allow it. I'm not sure if the wyoming antelope club allows it.. I know tenorac in lakeland doesn't allow it. I'm at a loss. Also whats the best way to get into shooting competitively?

I'll bee anxiously awaiting your responses.

P.S. If anyone stumbles on a small pistol primer cache let me know ;-)

I do that sort of practice in AZ all the time. Way out in the desert. (Seriously)

Any remote spots out in the 'glades you could do the same (legally)?

I've been looking for the same thing, but no luck so far.

Unfortunately, the glades is about a 3 hour drive, minimum.

I know the "no draw" thing is insurance. Some idiot probably blew his foot off and sued the range.

I'm going to check "Shooting Sports of Tampa" yet, but other than that, I use snap caps at home.

I contacted Shooting Sports of Tampa and they only allow firing from draw if you are LEO.

I know there's an IDPA range in Lakeland. I imagine they must allow it to some extent, or maybe they only do it during competition. Getting hard to find.

I really wish I knew someone with a bunch of property where I could build a small range.

Ahh, the everglades, thats where I grew up shooting floating beer cans out of a canoe with my dad... Sorry, I just had a flashback. Sorry I have nothing better to contribute.

figures...

Well thanks for the insight guys, if I figure something out i'll post it here. My Uncle used to go to a range in Arcadia where you set up your own targets, i'll look into that lead, other wise i'll be practicing at home.

Thanks again.

Knights Shooting Sports in Pinellas Park after you take their self defense course. Im a member @ Wyoming and they dont, but they have IDPA and IPSC there which allows it away from the public line. St Pete Police range is open to the public and allows it after you have been there a while. You got to get to know Ed (kinda old boys network).

Ranges In Florida

You can find ranges here:

Is it a matter of finding an outdoor range maybe? I shoot at the IWLA in VA where it is lenient, but it is also outdoor/private.
