Magpul ODG and FDE ??
I'm thinking of changing/upgrading slightly the furniture on my AR from all black to either OD Green or FDE. I'm looking at alot of Magpul products and it seems like their green is really dark, and I'm not sur eI like their FDE. Was looking at Blackhawk Knoxx A-Frame stock, looks like better colors but the stock has poor reviews/rattles. Griffin Armament ECS stock was another possible, but plain/ugly, but again colr seems better than Magpul.
Can anyone who has OD Green Magpul tell me if the pic online are "off" and the green looks better in person?

I can confirm both of your thoughts... That yes, the magpul od green furniture is pretty dark. But also, yes, it does look better in person.
If you look at it in the right lighting it looks pretty good and about what you would hope it to be, but in other lighting it can be darker looking. In this link, scroll down just a bit to find a picture of an ar outside with od green furniture. I can say that that is a good representation of what it actually looks like in person. https://www.ar15.com/forums/ar-15/Ma...en/118-400071/ |

Thanks, is exactly what I needed. FDE is a little light, was leaning towards OD Green, looks good in the pic you linked.

I've got ARs in black, Olive Drab and FDE. My favorite combo (lately) is FDE receiver set and hand guard with black mag, grip, rear stock and charging handle.

Their OD green is pretty dark, like stated above. I'm a big fan of their FDE recently.
I really miss their foliage green though, which I think is the best color they've made. Luckily I was able to scrounge up enough foliage parts to outfit a rifle

I personally like the OD green.
The foliage is also nice but not available any longer as I understand it. BCM has a foliage green available though. |

I like Magpul OD green fine. My problem was I used Duracoat Magpul OD green to paint the lower receiver and it doesn't match. I bought the stripped upper in Cerocoat Magpul OD and it does match.

We'll, I broke down and ordered Magpul CTR stock, K2 grip, MOE trigger guard and MOE carbine length handguard, all in FDE. I really wanted to like the ODGreen, but it's just too dark. Plus, now my AR will sort of match my FDE S&W SD9. Pics to come later. Thank you all for your input, I appreciate it.

PS: Was darn near impossible to find everything in stock at one seller, but I managed to find everything at OpticsPlanet, prices were competitive to other sellers I looked at, all my parts were in stock, free shipping, and I found a found 10% off coupon at retailmenot that worked perfectly.

I personally didn't like having the trigger guard any color but black.
Just looked off to me... some like it though. Hopefully you will. |

I'm not sure I'm going to like it in any color other than black either, but was only $8, figured I'd order it with everything else just In case. Cheap gamble.
