Boxer or Berdan?

Forgive the silly question, I'm pretty new.....

Which is the primer with the single dot that means reloadable, boxer or berdan primed?

Boxer primed cases are commonly reloaded. The brass is easily identified by looking into the mouth of the case and down to the head. A single hole centered in the head of the case identifies the case as boxer primed.

If two small holes are noticed just off of center the case is berdan primed which is not commonly reloaded.

I use the mnemonic "American Boxer" to identify single-hole reloadable cases, since few if any US makers use Berdan.
