I have a CVA hunter (the budget model of their line) that came in .35 Rem, now a .358 Win. and a CVA scout pistol that shipped in .357MAG, that is now a .357 MAX. Both shoot better than I can hold them.
Are you looking at CVA Scout or Apex? Didn't know the Scout was made in .270. By the way the Apex has been discontinued. It looks like henry will take the single shot market away from CVA. Henry is shipping well made guns in more popular calibers than CVA. |

It's not the same but kind of. I really like my CVA Optima V2 muzzleloader and it's really accurate. The 3 ish pound trigger is nice too.

It says scout on the side of the rifle. I tried to upload a pic but wasn’t able to.

I don't own one myself but I have heard a lot of good feedback about the 45-70 version. Although I don't know how many rounds they had fired through it. Most people around here use them for deer hunting but I haven't heard any complaints. If it'll hold up good to 45-70 then i'm sure it'll be a good rifle for you shooting .270

As with most guns in 45-70, it will outlast both your shoulder and wallet
