The “Gunny” is gone at 74
R Lee Ermey who played the DI in Full Metal Jacket has passed away at age 74.
His contribution to the shooting sports can not be understated. RIP Devil Dog |

R. I. P. Gunny. You were a great American!

I was 11 when I watched him on Mail Call, it was one of my favorite shows back then. Years ago R. Lee came back for another short History Channel series called Lock n' Load, which was less theatrical and more genuine. I loved both shows, R. Lee was great. He's one of the best pro-gun celebrities we had in the gun community, his affinity for Glocks and .45 ACP aside.
He will be sorely missed.
