P9 Nocturn input
Picked up a P9 Nocturn at the LGS the other day. I'm a CZ fanboy but never paid these much attention. My understanding is they fill a void between a striker fired P10 and a full metal 75?
Was told that with a spring kit the trigger really responds nicely. I certainly don't need one, but it interests me. Can those of you with experience chime in? I really like my PCR and RAMI. |

Hated mine.
M*CARBO or Cajun for springs. Long trigger pull. Rolling break that is undefined. Long reset. Spring kits can also damage the firing pin.

I purchased one for safety reasons. Safer to reholster than a glock and it has a better trigger. While the single action trigger on mine is not crisp, it is light enough to do precision shooting with.
The recoil seems snappy with the nocturne compact gun that I have and I was somehow hitting the slide lock. Made sure my grip is better and that is not happening and quit using plus P. The most serious fault is that it needs good lubrication unlike glocks. Something like ballistol will vaporize if one gets the gun hot from continuous fire. I used an advanced lube along with 9mm lawman speer ammo and there were no feeding problems for the last range session when the gun got hot. I use speer gold dot for carry. I am using the 115 gr gold dot. I plan to take the gun out to 100 yards see how it does. It is not a tuned 1911, but it takes the place of the G19 and G26s that I normally used to carry. |
