savage 222

Does anyone load for a savage model 340 in a 222. What grain bullets go you use and what is the best powder to use. Thank you.

I've had really good results with IMR 4198 & H 322 with 50,52, & 53 gr.
bullets & also IMR 3031.

H335

My 340 likes H335 with 50gr 52 and 53 gr bullets. It gives me sub one inch groups with match kings, also its not a hot load, about the middle of the load chart as far as grains of powder. Also I have some old 70 gr speer semi points with imr 4895 don't laugh its got 6 white tail for 6 shots with this load. 4 of the 6 were shot with by sub teen girls. I shot the other 2

i've been working up a load using imr 4895 with a sierra 50 gr bullet with 19.8 gr of powder i have a sub 1 inch group@ 100 yards. Thank you
