I just returned from my range after testing RL19 for the first time. Rifle is Savage Tactical. Wasn't impressed with the groups, although one 5 shot group hugged 1/2" @ 100. Average speed @58.0 gr was 3517fps with no signs of pressure. Has anyone loaded this bullet/power combo hotter? Appreciate any opinions. Oh, forgot to mention bullets were moly'd. Thanks

No I have not used that combo, I have a Ruger #1 in 25-06 I love it!I use Speer 87gr TNT. Powder is H450 But next time I'LL switch to IMR 4831 ? 1/2 in. groups at a 100 is damn good!!Savage factory barrel are the best out of the box!

PD, both the IMR and H in 4831 are excellent powders for the 25. H4831SC is great! 1/2" group was with 57.5gr of RL19 averaging 3488fps. Rifle is capable of fairly consistent 4/10th inch groups. Most of these with RL19 were 3/4" to 1 1/4". Don't think I hit the "sweet spot" with the RL19, and am looking for advice on going hotter.
