.22lr pistols under 5" overall lenght
...I already know the Beretta Bobcat and Jetfire and the Taurus PT22, but that can't be all the market for very small (as above: smaller than 5 inches) 22lr guns, can it?
Since the number of guns I am allowed to own is limited, I want something small AND plink-able, so to speak. And yes I know 22lr is not a good SD round. Thanks for your suggestions, if there are any.

Love my Phoenix Arms HP22a. I polished up the feed ramp and it's been nothing but reliable. Over 500 rounds without a hiccup.

The website lists it as 4.1 x 5.5 inches.
http://www.phoenix-arms.com/Products/HP22A.html There's also a range kit available for it that has a 5" barrel and extended grip magazine. Some folks seem to have issues with the multiple safety configurations but IMO, I don't think they're that cumbersome. It's just a matter of muscle memory/conditioning. |

The Jetfire is a .25. It's counterpart, the Minx is a .22 short. Fine little guns!
Astra made the Cub in .22 lr in later years. I don't know the length as they were not imported to the US. Bernardelli made a very small auto in .22 short and .22 long, but no LR. Armi Galesi made a small .22 lr about 5 inches long. |

The Beretta Bobcat is 4.9" long, and a hoot of a pistol.
