ruger sbh re assembly

Hey guys I'm looking for some help. I have a NM sbh in 44 mag. While cleaning it I removed the grip frame and cant get it to line back up with the screw holes in the rest of the gun. And a spring loaded plunger is givin me probblems. Any advice is appriecated.

You DID cock it and slip a small pin through the hole in the tail of the mainspring strut, to take the spring pressure off, BEFORE you removed the gripframe screws, right ? .

The spring loaded plunger sounds like the hand spring. You should just be able to compress it by pushing on the grip frame.
