Knife University
Knives are loads of fun, practical, and a field of learning distinct from others. Comprising the signficant appeal of knives are attributes of engineering design, sophistication of materials, and artistic quality. Once chosen as a subject of serious interest, the journey begins. At this point, one typically enrolls in 'Knife University'. Classes are open to anyone and are very enlightening, but yet almost no one ever graduates. The reason for this lies in the fact that the learning process continues indefinitely.
Typical of the study subjects are: 1. Basic Knife Categories 2. Fixed Blade Knife Design Features 3. Folding Knife Designs 4. Folding Knife Blade Locking Systems 5. Metallurgy Of Knife Blades 6. Heat Treatment Of Blades 7. Sword Design, Features, and Care 8. Knife Sharpening Accessories 9. Knife Sharpening Procedures 10. Knife Collecting 11. Knives For Everyday Carry 12. Knife Safety 13. Knife Testing And Evaluation 14. Knife Making And Supplies 15. Knife Fighting And Self Defense Where is this place? Knife University consists of a widely distributed campus of colleges and facilities. Fortunately, they are all accessible via the Internet. The colleges primarily consist of specific knife forums. It is at these locations that the major amounts of learning may be acquired. Some of the colleges: Blade Forums Benchmade Forum Sword Forum Knives Forum Custom Knife Directory Forums Jouster Louderthanwords If you are an existing student, congratulations on your presence. If you are new to the university, welcome aboard. It is a great place. You will discover new friends both among the living, as well as some made of steel.
