Correct COAL for Lee TL452-230-TC?

Hi all,

I'm looking for the correct COAL for .45 ACP using the Lee TL452-230-TC tumble lube bullet.

I have examined this thread here:

http://forum.m1911.org/archive/index.php/t-92703.html

And this spreadsheet here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...FE&hl=en#gid=0

And based on these I figure a COAL of 1.210

However, even when I seat at 1.185, and I drop the bullet into the chamber of my P90 barrel, it sticks, and when I remove it, there is a tiny ring around the shoulder of the bullet nose, which tells me I am bottoming out on lead and not the case mouth.

In order to get it to just kiss off the case mouth, I have to seat to 1.170.

Should I let my barrel chamber be my guide for setting the bullet depth, such that when I drop it in it can spin freely on the case mouth?

I'm loading with 4.8 grains of Bullseye, FYI.

Nevermind, I found the answer back in one of my old posts here:

grubbylabs found this mold in the Lyman 4th edition with a COAL of 1.170, an that is just about exactly right from what I am measuring.

Steve

You think that's bad, I had to load my 358-125-rf to 1.02 in my CZ before it would pass the plunk test.
