Glock barrels

Hey guys, where is the best place to get ported barrels for glocks? Any help would be appreciated !!

Hello there. Lone Wolf is my favorite. In my opinion, one of the best. Second up would be Storm Lake.

I would say ebay or amazon. I purchased my ported Lone Wolf barrel for my Glock 19 from ebay.

That's what I'm after Constantine. Is your slide cut out too? Some of the barrels I've seen protrude a lot further than it would appear in your picture. Could this be the case w yours and maybe you just can't tell from the angle? Would the barrel have to stick out quite a bit to work correctly?

My slide is not cut. Factory Glock 19. 3rd Generation.

This one protrudes about 2mm back from the second serration on the barrel. If You'd like, when I'm off work I can take a picture with it on the gun.

The barrel definitely needs to protrude on the outside of the slide, yes.

I'll take a pic for you in a little while. Unless...one second.

Hey...small world...that's my OD Glock 29. That one has a Lonewolf Barrel; I have another with an unported Storm Lake. (Two G29s)

Here are both of them side by side. I personally don't notice any difference in Recoil between the two. Shooting HOT 10MM.

Especially in 9MM which is not known to be hard to handle anyway.

Agreed, I didn't notice a difference in my .40 and .45 with compensated barrels and even less off a difference in my 9mm.

Not to hijack, but a question for the experts here. I have a G34 I’m working up and have been looking at barrels, not for the porting but to get away from the polygonal rifling and be able to shoot lead.
Since you hear so much internet "facts" that shooting lead will cause a Glock to self destruct.
Are these barrels you’re looking at capable of shooting lead in vast quantities?

The answer is yes. Many other people also want to shoot lead in their Glocks, so Lone Wolf, Storm Lake, and most (if not all) the other barrels mentioned in this thread are normal cut rifling instead of polygonal.
