In my country (Finland) carrying knifes and "other dangerous weapon" in "public places" is prohibited. In the list of "other dangerous weapons" are listed different weapons made by metals, but the law does not prohibit carrying self defence items (except knifes and guns) made of other materials like plastics, rubber, wood, non-metallic fibers etc.
Does anyone know of good batons, sticks etc. that have no metallic parts of any kind? A collapsible model would be better for discreet carry. Ossi |

You could try a mini baseball bat... the 8 inch long kind you can get at sports stores... Those worked great for me thumping dudes when I was in High school... evidently pipe bombs are the fad now...
