Rifle matches
How would I go about finding matches around the midwest, and what type/style of match would you recommend starting with? Ive spent my fair share at the range and in the Corps. Im not a rook, but Im no salt either.Thanks fellas, Good shootin

Check out the ranges and matches listed at
http://www.iowahighpower.com/ I suggest NRA Highpower Service Rifle "Across the Course." Standing, sitting, and prone at 200, 300, and 600 yards with AR15 or M1A. Or maybe Smallbore Prone or Position with a good .22 at 50-100 yards. |

Not what I was lookin 4
The rifle I want to shoot is a 300 Win Mag. I dont really care to shoot my ar is comp, and I dont have a M1. Im looking for a longer scoped event. Great sites though. Thanks

Sounds like you are interested in and equipped for Long Range, either Any/Any (rifle/sights with sling, coat and glove) or F-class (scope and bipod allowed.)
I shot 1000 yard F-class at Ft Benning this past weekend alongside conventional and Palma rifles. Fun, challenging. I will leave the research on locations to you. Start at: http://www.long-range.com http://www.long-range.com/forums/ |
