Will Mossberg 500 20g stock fit a 12ga?
Hello,
Would a Mossberg 500 20ga stock fit a 500 12ga? Thinking about a youth wood stock and the 20ga stocks seem easier to find than the Bantam 12ga youth stocks. "Fit" being that it would work. It would be nice to know if it wouldn't aesthetically look good, but I am also unsure if it would work at all. Thank you! |

As I recall, no. The 12 gauge receiver is bigger. If you come across a 16 gauge stock that won't fit a 20 either, but will fit a 12.
Gunparts lists 20 gauge, checkered hardwood with a recoil pad, 'Youth' stocks at $19.95.

Several saws could make short work of youthifying it. And if you screw it up it's still only $15.

Would a kind soul with both a 20ga and 12 ga 500 take a pic of their 20ga stock on the 12ga 500?
Youth 20ga stock abound, but the 12ga youth wood stocks are 80 dollars + |

I'm not going to swap stocks but I can tell you the 20 gauge action is 33mm and the 12 gauge action is 37mm.
I would just buy this 12 gauge stock for $14.95 and cut it down to the length you need. https://youtu.be/54l76JER3dY
