Good and Bad News from Hornady
I called today to find out if I could substitute a number 1 shell plate for a 45 ..I was told I could but it just works so so..It would fit less snugly..I ask the guy in sales what B/O'S were like..There are 800 #45 shellplates 1000 #1 shellplate
400 #10 2800 # 8 SHELLPLATES AND 200 # 32 SHELLPLATES. AND FOR THE MOST PART THESE NUMBERS MATCH CLOSELY TO THE CORRESPONDING OTHER PRESS PARTS ON ORDER. THEY WILL BE FILLING THOSE ORDERS COMPLETELY IN THE NEXT 2 WEEKS . So that means our shellplate and expanders etc will be filled soon. On a bad note.. If your press has been back-ordered in the last 6 weeks you probably won't get it untill June same goes for bushings. I found someone with 3pak bushings in stock. The price comes out to about $10 more which includes shipping. Based on Midways 10 pack for 35.00.. .BUSHINGS B/O AND PRESS BACK ORDERS HE SAID i WOULDN'T BELIEVE THE NUMBER AND THEY ARE ONLY PREPARED TO FILL MAYBE 15% OF THOSE. So that's good news in away..At least if you have a press and need shellplates and the powder drop expanders.. GOOD NEWS FOR ME SO I AM SURE OTHERS ARE IN SAME BOAT..PRESS WITH NO SHELLPLATES OR EXTRA BUSHINGS..I AM PLACING AN ORDER FOR THE BUSHINGS I FOUND IN STOCK..ANYONE ELSE WANT THE LINK?
