mossberg 500 .410
I am looking into getting a .410 shotgun. Ive always been a remington fan, but dont want to pay 700 dollars for a .410 870. Then I stumbled accross the little mossberg 500. One thing I notice is the barrel has a fixed full choke. Can slugs be shot through this? How will they pattern vs. a cly bore? Any pro or cons with this gun?

Yes... ABSOLUTELY! Slugs can be fired thru any choke up to and including a full. Most perform best thru a moderate one and Mossberg suggests the improved cylinder for best accuracy.

.410
Nice little gun. I have two barrels - one is 18" and one is 24" (IIRC). Points nicely. Easy to carry. Never tried slugs though.
