Um, sure?
I'm not sure if you are needing them to fill a niche in your collection, or just to have them. But either way, if you want it and don't have a significant other who will kill you for it.... I say do it. |

Get the rifle. Better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.

Sounds like a plan. Don't forget that you could also use a 22-250, 223, 220 swift for small game. You know, a lever action in say 450 marlin 444marlin or 45-70 would fit in real nice.

I bought a .223 bolt gun a few months back. I said self... you finally have all the rifles, shotguns and pistols you wanted and need. The feeling was grate! It lasted about a month. Now I'm trying to decide whether to get an action to have a anther rifle built on or if I want to re-barrel my 06. Decisions, decisions, decisions... seems it never ends.
Buy the pair.

As far as a Xcr rifle, I must say that it is one of the most weather resistant rifles you can buy. I have xcr's in 30.06 and 7 mm magnum. I hunt hard and in rain, snow, heat, you name it. I have yet to see the first sign of rust on either one of them after weeks of hard hunting without regular maintenance. Other words you don't have to wipe it off with rem oil and a cloth every night.

Thanks guys I figured responses would be as they are. Wife is OK with it. I got a rather large tax return this year.

Never mind guys. I shot my model 70 today in 270 wsm and forgot just how much I like it. Going to keep it and just let the remmy go.
The real reason is I just dropped some serious coin on a new bow. |

This has to be a troll thread, saying you want 2 Remington rifles, one of which in a Remington caliber, then telling us how your Model 70 is all you need.

I should have been more clear. The only Remington I am not going to get is the 270 wsm. I actually prefer the 700 but my super shadow is so light and I love it so not going to buy the other 270 wsm just the 300 ultra mag in a 700 bdl or cdl.
