Fair Asking Prices for Range Brass

I am new to the Firing Line Forum and relatively new to reloading. I have been accumulating mixed head stamp range brass for some time now, mostly from a Law Enforcement Range. A lot of this brass is once fired, as LE do not, for the most part, use reloads. I sell .223 Brass that I clean and polish and de-prime also. I sell them in 7# lots which comes to approximately 532 pieces. I ask $35 for them. Is that a fair price? I also am cleaning a bunch of .40 S&W and .45 ACP. I am offering the .40 S&W in 5# units (which is approximately 550 pieces). What would you think is a fair price for those. Of course, the pistol brass is not de-primed. Just curious about what other members think about the prices. Thanks

Maximum of ten cents for rifle brass, five cents for pistol.

If you score some oddball caliber, like 7.5 Swiss or something, you can ask more. 15 cents is about max here for. 30 caliber brass in small, sorted and cleaned lots.

There are a lot of folks selling common brass, so you can ask too much and end up with piles of it. Fair is fair, but selling is the goal, not matching everyone else.

If you can't keep up with the demand for your brass, you aren't charging enough. If you have too much sitting around then you are charging too much.

Go on gunbroker or visit websites selling brass and look at their prices.

Brass prices are all over the map. 223, 40, & 9mm are selling at very low prices. These prices spiked after the panic of 13, but lowered significantly.

There is plenty of brass for sale on GunBroker. Check to see which has bids and should give you an indication.

Also shipping costs will make a big difference. Seems the cram as many as you can in an USPS flat rate box gets the bids.

In 15 years once fired brass from Scharch has gone up by ~ 12% compounded annually, while Gold has gone up ~ 10% compounded annually.

I wish you were close to me . I pay $30 per 500ct of 223 brass but it is not cleaned or de-primed . $25 for 500ct hand gun brass and it to is very dirty .

The other thing is that I know the brass I get is once fired . The range I get it from has the military and LE train there .
