colt SAA 3rd gen, w/black powder frame

Got an opportunity to pick up a 3rd gen .45 Colt SAA 4.75" nic with back powder frame, bulls eye ejector rod and accurate 3 line dates and barrel roll marks. Looks like new.
Only question I have is regarding left side frame markings. Most of the SAA pics I've seen and other colts I've touched or owned had the rampant colt /circle stamped on the left side of the frame. This one doesn't! Has all other colt markings and serial # places it's manufacture in the 1980's 3 gen category. Seller says it was a special run of 3rd gen black powder frame SAAs. Just stuck on the frame deal. Not real interested in owning a frankencolt.
Any info or ideas?

Contact Sixgun Shorty on the SASS wire. He's a Colt dealer and expert.
