I stopped in Walmart yesterday and they had plenty of .45ACP in the value packs, however the price is now $34.97. I bought some there a week ago for $29.97. They were out of 9mm, so not sure if there was a price increase on that.

Does anyone here go to walmart for expert advise on guns or ammo....???
Absolutly not!!! We all go there because we think we might find what we want at a cheaper price... that's it.... nothing else!
I can't believe anyone would go to walmart expecting expert advice on anything they sell..!!!!!! If they had experts in every dept... prices would be higher... somebody has to pay those experts!!
I can't understand how this thread even got started...
Expert advice at walmart... what a joke...!

OM Goodness! I saw THREE 100 round Winchester Valuepacks of .380 ACP at Walmart! Yes THREE of 'em!

No I didn't buy any. I have 200 rounds of FMJ still here from about a year and a half. Yes I have a few .380s, but I pack Glocks and Smith J frames.

Hope some good people get a box of them and not the scalpers.

My local WM has a 2 box restriction per customer. Some clerks allow me to grab 2 boxes of several types of ammo (Im a big fan of the .22WMR Dynapoints they carry and their .22 bulk packs); other clerks hold fast to the 2 box maximum, period!
After reading about profit hoarders here, makes me realize why they need to do it, still drives me crazy though to see 10 bulk packs of Federal Auto-match on the shelf and I can only buy 2, lol.

Wow. Picked up a Winchester Value pack of .38 Specials! Yep, 100 round count. All those .380s are gone in just one day (and I didn't get any.)

walmart in Vero Beach has a few WWB 9mm 100 packs for 12.97 each, and some .40. still a drought on handgun ammo, for the most part.

WOW!!! And I paid $27.xx at Cabela's for the same thing:barf:!!! But I have bought 10 boxes of the Federal Champion 9mm though for $9.97/ea and 6 550 VP's of the Federal Champion .22LR for $16.97/ea and NO LIMIT here either. So anymore I check the local wally world BEFORE I even think about going to a major outdoor/sports store.

I don't know why the huge price difference but I was JUST at wally world and they got the white box value packs for 12.97. My favorite practice ammo! I paid 19.97 for the same box @ walmart in Leesburg, Fl a few weeks ago

Wow, that must be a price mistake. Here in KY, 9mm WWB just went up from $20 to $22 for a 100 round box.

$22 for a 100rnd box of WWB is still pretty cheap. My Wally hasn't had em' in for a LONG time, though.

The guy at walmart here in vero (I double checked the price) told me they had HUGE shipments of 9mm coming all the time and that supply is catching up. BUT he does work at walmart, so IDK we'll see. I just bought a box. He said they had like 50 cases in the back

Wallyworld here has plenty of 9mm, .40 S&W, .45 auto if you show up early enough. brands seem to varry from WWB, Blazer Brass, and Federal Champion. Acadamey has several 250 round UMC value boxes of 40, and 9mm. They also had a ton of .38 spcl, and .357 mag.

when you go to wal-mart don't rely on the price on the labels next to the ammo. i went the other day they had 357mag wwb for 29.97 it scanned 24.97 i got bulk federal 22 ammo the label 18.96 it scanned 16.46 and last i bought a box of federal 150 grain 308 ammo label 17.96 scanned 13.96 so i saved more than i thought i was going too. the clerk said they are getting in ammo in good now that somehow they got mislabled, i don't care what the reason as long as i can save.

For the guys in Vero Beach, FL, keep an eye out, I've bought several hundred rounds of 9mm and .40 in the last two months. Federal and CCI FMJ are around $10 for 50 rds. None of the other Wal Marts seem to ever have ammo. Also, the shipments seem to come later in the day, early evening.

The only pistol ammo on my walmart shelf was .38 special in Western Brand, and it's been like that for about 7 months...
