Silencer Central or SilencerCo
Which one of these seems to be the, um, least complicated route? Online or at a kiosk?

I used Silencer Shop, it was pretty painless except for the wait. All paperwork, fingerprints, and pictures were done at the Kiosk. I hear good things about the Silencer Central process. However, it will always be a process with 9 month wait times.
So what suppressor are you buying?

Silencerco is a manufacturer and does not do retail sales.
