Custom Grips P238

You could call this a plug for Charles Spresser at Spesser Knife Works.

You can find his ebay store here http://stores.ebay.com/Spresser-Knif...id=p4340.l2563

And the next post will be some shots of the grips I got from him, ordered on Sunday, arrived Wednsday.

These grips are Micarta and a little thicker then standard SIG grips for the P238. You give away a little bit in concealment but you get a little better grip which some may like. I plan on carrying IWB mostly so they will be good for me.

Those are very cool grips but I like the more traditional look.

if you are looking for very pretty grips another good place to look is:

he does custom work too and his grips look amazing.

here is a very long thread with a lot of his work.

He does P238, 1911s and I hear he does Coonan Classics.

He does very nice work as well and his prices look great too.

If anyone was into giving pistols as gifts, the right set of grips on one of the non-standard P238 pistols in a nice custom box would be awsome. For instance take the Marine one, add the right grips, and tuck it into a sweet box with an engaved plate and you'd see a Jar Head cry

I have a set of the Spesser grips in Desert Ironwood, great grips, but I just go a set of grips from ALTAMONT. Full checkering and really good to hold on to.

Here is the link to the P238 grips. http://www.altamontco.com/products/pistol/sig/
