my goal for this year was going to be a Mini-14 and a S&W E-Series 1911. Then the craziness started and both of those disappeared. So once they come available again at a reasonable price I am going to pick up one.

The "Panic" sure has made it interesting trying to find and purchase items before they are out of stock. If not for the high prices and possible legislation I would almost call it fun. It is a challenge finding guns, ammo and accesories but I get a feeling of accomplishment when I score something I've been hunting for.

I'll probably build up another AR using one of the 3 sets up stripped upper/lower combos I have for my son for a graduation present.
Thinking about a couple nice airguns and stocking up a whole lotta .30 cal projectiles. They went real fast. All set on the other calibers though. Might start building those woodless danes (Garands) I got from the CMP a few years back. I am sure more projects will come to mind. |

A nice .22 s&w revolver and a 9, 45 , or other caliber carbine. Get much more reloading componets- brass, bullets, primers.

Do a build to my exact specs. I figure once the time comes i can walk into a store and get a Pmag for an Andrew Jackson or less i can start it. No point in having a rifle with all the magazines on backorder right?

Kel-tec sub2k, that was going to be my gun of the year, but 150% inflation in price makes me want to put that on hold.
Might spend a bonus check on ar-15 receivers. Have no plans on owning or shooting an ar-15 but when the crazy-buying's over and I can get some for cheep I can hold them as an investment for the next panic. I'll also continue my "everytime I stop at meijer/wall mart pick up a box of ammo" plan that I started about a month before sandyhook. damn shame that all the ammo I bought then was for the 12 gauge, and that's about all that's left now.

I want to build a reproduction, as near I can legally, of what I carried in the Army.
Colt LE6920, ACOG, a couple of PMAGs(I gave all mine to my sister's then boyfriend before he deployed), and I'm debating whether or not to get one of those Cobray 37mm flare launchers to stand in for the -203 I had slung underneath my carbine. Also, I would like a Beretta 92FS. In my mind's eye, I like to imagine my library in about sixty years, lined with my books and those displayed along with maybe my helmet serving as nice props in stories to bore the hell out of my hopeful grandkids/grandnieces/nephews.

AMMO. AMMO. AMMO.
I have weapons in all of the calibers I like. So I will be purchasing ammo for all of them and the weapons can come in the future. Just my opinion. |

FN SCAR 17S looks pretty good. My local gun shop had one, but it was insanely overpriced, so I couldn't even consider touching it.

I am thinking bigger picture-
Like a used gun store. I will buy back all the stuff people bought at cut prices because their credit card bills are stacking up, everything will be next to new and very lightly used because most of the people that bought all this stuff now cant get ammo to put through it.... Oh and some primers... lots and lots of primers |

I have been wanting to pick up a nice left handed varminter in an AR platform. So far the Stag 6L Super Varminter has been one that I have been looking at. There is no hurry on my part to find something. I may even find something that turns my head while I am waiting.

"All you Obama lovers who are gun owners were warned this would happen and you voted for this clown anyway. You get what you deserve and the rest of us are screwed by your idiotic decisions." This is rather moot your god oh Mitt DID sign gun CONTROL in Mass. HE signed a permanent state ban on assault weapons, saying at the signing ceremony for the new law, "Deadly assault weapons have no place in Massachusetts. The date was July 1 2004. While Obama is try, Mitt DID. |

I'd like to find a 617 S&W 22 in a 4" barrel. Right now it seems like I'm asking for a lot as I can't find one anywhere. But I have lots of nice guns so can wait.

I plan to stock up on components for reloading, enough to last at least 2 years.
I'm also thinking of a new 9mm carbine of sorts since I traded my HiPoint 995. I've still got some research to do yet on make and model. |

At THR on General Gun Discussions, there is a topic where a number of ARs (many in .223) are now seen in stores.
The insanely high prices will probably keep them on the shelves until managers need the space. At the Nashville show on Saturday, I handled a very nice, all-matching laminated Russian SKS (star with year on cover) listed at $500. 8-lb. jugs of 3031 gunpowder were listed at about $185. This was at 1:30, so maybe it will not sell at this price. Last edited by Ignition Override; February 11, 2013 at 12:19 AM. |
