Sig 556 Magazines
Bought my first rifle, a Sig 556, and I would like to more magazines. Since I am new to rifles, can someone recommend an aftermarket magazine? I like the ones that have clips that lock them together, but not a requirement.

PMAG's work well, they might take a little bit of an extra slap from time to time to get in bot nothing worse than I have seen on some AR's.

Are you talking about SIG 550 type magazines
http://www.topgunsupply.com/sig-saue...-magazine.html or AR-15 type magazines? http://www.impactguns.com/sig-sauer-...681408337.aspx If you are talking about the 1st one. There aren't any aftermarket ones as far as I know. If you are talking about #2, those magazines are junk, from what I have heard and you would be better just getting a good quality STANAG compatible magazine like: http://www.44mag.com/category/223_ar15_magazines Hope this helps.

Couplers are available to clip Pmags together, but in my opinion, this is a novelty that adds weight and unbalances the rifle. |

PMAGS, OKay, Brownells, etc will work much better.

I knew they had made a run of Sig 556 rifles with 550 lowers. Thought that might have been what he was talking about.
