looking for EMF Army grips
I'm looking to change my wood EMF single action one piece grips to something else.
This model looks identical to the EMF "California" model with the case hardened frame, but it is marked "Single Action Army .44 Special" Anyway to change this to a Birdshead type grip frame? So would it take 1st generation or 2nd, 3rd Colt grips (or stocks if if you fussy about that)? Also, it has the firing pin on the hammer so I assume it's carry on empty chamber.

No suggestions?
What I found so far is that it seems to be the 1st series colt grip size.
