Savage 10T SR

Was looking at a Savage model 10t-sr on the web today. From what I can find it is a decent rifle. Any one have any experience with this cabalas "exclusive".

I have one in 223, I did a short review on it in the forum. Accurate, good rifle, some magazine issues.

Hmmm, no .243, or .260. Are they cutting out the Creedmor competition?

243 is tried and true but the creedmoor is better suited to this type of rifle.
243 and 260 would be round in their hunting line.

I have one in 6.5 Creed with about 1500 rounds down the tube.

I like it a lot. I have shot mine out to 1200 yards Accuracy is superb.

I got mine for $499 on sale.

Works great with a suppressor.

Under the trees at the turn of the road,
And only pausing to fire and load.

Thinking about going with the .308 win simply because I already have everything I need to feed it, brass, dies, powder... read somewhere that the rifling isn't 5r. Some guy posted a tube video with his bore scope and found 6 lands and groves. it's on the internet so it must be true, right?

I've got one... minus the threaded barrel, in .308, LOVE it. Doesn't get much better than this...

The 10T... Is that the one with the larger barrel thread diameter, and three stock/pillar mounting points?

Its a standard Savage receiver and barrel built to Cabella specification.

Also has a long action version ala 300 WM if you want to use a lot of powder.

5R rifling seems to have several variations, I assume its what they say it is one of them. Model of 1917 also had 5R in a left twist

You don't need a boroscope to count the groves. Going round and round you will get lost, thats not really what they are for.

I don't know if 5R is really any better than stock, maybe more attention to detail.

It will have the usual good accuracy per Savage short of a problem barrel.

Threaded end so you can add whatever you want down there.

Pretty decetn stock, good up to 308, I would get a better one for 300 WM.
