617 works fine at the range

I'm putting away the automatics for the Summer and taking out the 617 to get ready for the next Steel Challenge Match once the temps get back down.

Last match I managed to get Heat Stroke so I'm passing on matches while the temperatures are in the 100s.

I've done a lot of work on this gun and it's paid off. No matter what ammo I try in it, it all fires with no problems. They also group pretty well.

I modified the double action pull and got it down to under 7 pounds tested with my Lyman Trigger Pull Gage. I used an Apex Tactical hammer and spring as well as a stock mainspring that is screwed in all the way.

Nice looking gun. A little too muzzle heavy for my tastes for steel challenge though. Glad you got it tuned to your liking.
