The point is you did not buy a rifle with a design flaw that the cocking tube bends when breathed upon or falls over. It not something you have to watch, guard, or offer any special treatment anymore so than any other infantry rifle.

Do not let the fact people have advanced their own personal agendas in this thread sway you from getting your rifle fixed or in getting your question answered. Unfortunately this is one of the downsides of the internet.

Either Century Arms or I suspect the shipping company was grossly negligent. I would contact them and get your rifle repaired at their expense.
