Help!! Removal of front and rear sights from Sigma..
I need to know how to remove the front and rear sight of the SW Sigma.
Also, how to put them back. Any help would be cool.

Helleqin: I have an older model Sigma 9v.
The rear sight is just a pressure fit into a dovetail groove in the slide. Simply take a wood dowel (since the sight is a plastic) and tap it out from left to right (I'm pretty sure it is left to right). The front sight will also come out easily but you may have trouble reinstalling. It is also plastic and has a single narrow tenon that fits in a hole in the slide. It can probably just be poked out/pushed out with a nail punch from below - but reinstalling can be a problem because you may lose some plastic from the tenon. I just used a low watt soldering iron to "peen" the plastic tenon after my front sight got knocked off accidently. Regards, Jim |
