What do you use

to clean the "wax" off cartridge, from loading lead bullets. Turkish towel works, just thought maybe there was a solution of some type being used?
Not all need cleaning of course, but don't care for that getting into the semi automatic to gum things up. New to loading, having a ball and starting to pickup some speed with the Lee Classic Turret Press.
Thanks

Champher your brass inside mouth and bell your brass a bit more, and the problem of shaving the lube should go away.

Mineral spirits or lighter fluid on a cloth should clean up the loaded rounds you have on hand. Just don't use too much fluid, and pay attention to keep it away from the primer area.

Good Luck...

Tumble the loaded rounds in corncob media with a few tablespoons of mineral spirits.

If you're not comfortable with that, a hand towel or shop towel with alcohol works great.

But the easiest solution, as noted above, is to adjust your belling die and seating die so that you don't get it on the outside in the first place.

I've always wiped the cartridges with automotive shop rags. Just coarse enough to clean the wax off the bullets, cases, whatever. Eventually they get washed in the bucket with the other rags from the garage...

Chamfering & belling has never eliminated lube on the cases for me. It keeps it to a minimum, but the noses get lube too and it will come off in the seater die and collect in the die and evr so often I pull and clean the die so it doesn't push the bullets deeper than intended.

A clean dry cotton rag is used before boxing them up.
