Modify Rem700 from floorplate to DBM..?
I have a Remington 700 of unknown vintage (got it second-hand), and I believe it is a BDL because it had the sights installed when I got it.
It's the hinged-floorplate version, though, and I'd like to know if there's a way for me to modify it to a detachable box magazine style. If any ideas please let me know. It'd make a fun project. Thanks in advance. |

All it takes is money.
If your rifle is a long action, the most economical conversion is the Kwik Klip. It is pretty reliable and basically a drop in. Remington makes DBMs for both short and long actions. Several other companies make DBM conversions. If there is a particular magazine you wish to use, you may need to invest in some tooling so you can create your own bottom metal. Welcome to TFL. |
