New Reloader question (9mm Bullet size)

Hello everyone,
It has been a real pleasure reading this forum for several months now. I've learned a lot and finally decided to take the plunge two months back. Started with .223 and have successfully made several hundred rounds which shot much better than factory loads. Happy me. The reason for my first post is that I just started getting ready to reload for my 9mm and I am a bit confused as to the correct bullet size to use. I have several reloading books which seem to contradict each other. One says to use a .355 and another to use a .356. Which one should I be using? Anyone know the reason for the difference?

Thank you again for the help
Jerry,
Miami, Florida

Are both bullets jacketed?

Lead bullets are normally 0.001 over the diameter of jacketed.

Yes both are jacketed bullets. It's very odd.

I would go with .355 for jacketed and .356 for lead and plated.

Thank you for the feedback. One more thing if I could. Could you recommend a powder that I could use for both the 9mm and the 45ACP.

Sky, which powder to use for both calibers can be determined from consulting your reloading books. Bullseye, Unique, WW231...., the list goes on and on, as will the responses you get from everyone on this forum.

Jerry, what area in Miami?

Thanks all of the advise. Since getting powder in south Florida is rather difficult I picked up titegroup as it was the only thing I could find locally.
PCJim I'm in the Kendall area.

Titegroup

Titegroup is very good powder. I use it for alot of different loads, from 9mm to .357 magnum medium velocity lead, to my slower .44 magnums. A nice versatile powder.
