Who makes the best conceal holster for fullsize 1911

I'm looking for a good conceal carry holster for a full size 1911. Any ideas.

Bad news - you gotta make a choice and it isn't easy with all of the offerings!

Like the others have said. There are a ton of holster makers out there that are good. You have to choose.

Inside waistband, outside waistband, crossdraw, leather, kydex, etc.

I prefer leather and my two favorites are Milt Sparks and Lou Alessi.

There are some excellent holster makers out there. Some have already been mentioned. Two with which I have had excellent results are FIST http://www.fist-inc.com/ and Comp-tac http://www.comp-tac.com/. Both make excellent concealment holsters for the 1911 pistol.

The top revo is a S&@ 386 Mountain Lite which is a 357 and weighs in around 18oz empty. If really large bears are not an issue then load this one with a hardcast bullet - 7 rounds - and you are good to go.

The second revo is my personal favorite a S&W 629 Trail Boss - 3" barrel but somewhat heavy for serious backpacking. I have killed an angry black bear with a 44 magnum and, believe me, they are really tough.

Oddly, I've found great satisfaction recently using a Kydex Uncle Mike's OWB for my 1911's, bought used for $5. Something about the way they 'snick' in-and-out.....

I ended up picking a Blade Tech IWB, is as comfortable as mainstream leather and keeps the butt in tight. I don't think you can buy anything that will conceal better but some of the custom holsters might be a little more comfortable.

I have two Milt Sparks Versa Max II holsters and their quality holsters but at $100 each they should be. I also have three Comp-Tac holsters and at $50 each they are really nice and I like them much better then my Milt Sparks holsters.

Give Copm-Tac a look their service is great and you will have you'r holster in about a week.

i can vouce for a browning hi power .40, which is almost the same as a 1911.

Had the blade-tech iwb for abotu 3 years. was very nice, but it wouldn't move as I moved, i.e. when i sat down in the car, etc.

I now have the comp-tac IBW which has leater between the holster itself and the j-clips which slip over the belt. That makes it able to move a slight bit when i bend or sit. As far as gun security, they're both top notch. But the comp-tac is just more comfortable if you get in/out of a car, etc.

I really like Threat Solutions holster. I own a Milt Sparks VMII, but find I use the Threat Sloutions holster more often. It also holds all barrel lengths, so you don't need a holster for each 1911.

The statement about 127 makers out there isnt kidding...but its probably more like 250 makers out there.......If you want a holster that will function for years, be oh so comfy, hide the gun in all or most situations and is beautiful....look Brommeland, Alessi, Del Fatti, Garrity, Bulman and others.....be ready to drop in the neighborhood or 100$ or so and then begin to wait....what you get will cause you to question why you didnt do it sooner.
