I seem to remember that the P225A1 is actually a P239 frame at heart and uses modified P239 magazines. I won't think they'd exchange with an original P225/P6.

The magazines for the P225A1 will not work in a P6 or the original P225. The P225A1 is based on the P239 which possibly explains why Sig discontinued the P239. I have a P6 and a P239 SAS Gen2 and these are both great shooters, and I’m glad I got them when I did.
