Front bead sight threads
Anyone know what the thread/pitch is for a EAA 20 Gauge and Lamber 12 Gauge O/U front sights are?
Need to replace our fiber sights with traditional ones. Thanks. |

home depots, usually have a block with threaded holes to test with. You can also go to a good hardware store, and test with nuts. I think those being European, they are going to be close to 3mm x .5. or .6. If they are metric, you can re-tap with a bottom tap to #4-48", or have a gunsmith do it. You might have to use a drill to drill out enough material, or the tap might break.

Try posting your questions in The Firing Line's "The Smithy" Forum. One of the gunsmiths there should be able to answer them.

I'm going through the same hell right now with my Benelli Nova...I just want a brass bead sight!
Bad news is that I have been told two different sizes by Benelli..either it's a 2.5 or a 2.6mmx45. I finally called Beretta and a really nice girl there offered to send me one of their 2.5mm beads to try it out. Am I the only Benelli shooter who wants a traditional brass bead over the plastic one?? Geeeez. Sorry about the rant. |
