reloading supplies

Any suggestions on where to buy reloading supplies at a good price, and reasonable shipping?

Powder valley for primer/powder comes up often as a suggestion.
And Berry's Bullets for the bullets. For bullets look for someone who uses USPS flat rate boxes, much cheaper that way.

I found a local place to buy 1lb of powder and primers to cut out the shipping (hazmat) fees and will do that until I find a powder that I really like, then I'll start getting a bulk 8lb can online.

I buy all my brass from Midway. Powder and primers come from a local source so I don't pay the stupid Hazmat fee.

It may depend on the quantity you intend to purchase. Make sure you know how the supplier ships. MidwayUSA for example ships their powder and primers from different locations. So if you order both you will pay dual HAZMat charges.

As mentioned Powder Valley has the best prices I have found, they will ship primers and powder together, and they will hold in stock items until backorders come in, if you ask them to.

Also consider going together with someone else on a buy to split the HAZMat charge. If you order enough, you will save much more than the shipping will ever cost you.

Look over the products availabe from Powder Valley. Make as large an order of powder and primers you can to save on shipping. For 1# and experimeting, go local.

I've had great service from both Powder Valley and Midsouth Shooters Supply. Both good folks to deal with, and will hold the order till everything ships on one ticket.

I shop around a LOT, and try to find the lowest prices. Sometimes though the regular prices at the above two joints with shipping, is still cheaper than a sale price somewhere else once the shipping is added in.

Powder Valley for powder, primers and bullets. They have the lowest prices I've seen and it only takes a couple pounds powder or couple thousand primers to MORE than cover the hazmat in relation to local prices.

For lead bullets I like Penn the best, great quality and a great man to work with.

Rocky mountain bullets is a great place for jacketed, good price and free shipping.

I have purchased powder from powder valley for a number of years. Good company and the selection of powders is massive. Also very few of them are “on back order”.

You're within an easy drive of Widener's down in Johnson City.

Grafs & Sons. They pay shipping after you pay a small handling charge.
