What kind of lube are you using, specifically?

Lot's of good products out there, and you're limited only by your personal preferences and cleaning practices.

Break-Free CLP, which uses Teflon, is a safe and effective product which has been tested and used far more than anything else available.

For a dedicated lubricant, Tetra Gun and Milcomm TW-25B are excellent. Both contain Teflon.

For an excellent, non-Teflon CLP, try Muscle Products FP-10.

Teflon on guns

Hi Clayton, and thank you. I am using 100% drivetrain Lubricant . I clean after every shoot and the guns come very clean.
But it looks like the Teflon is beading ?. I will try your rec.

There are a few guys that use automotive type lubes on their weapons, but I personally recommend against it.

Lubes designed for closed assemblies(engines) contain lots of chemicals that you don't need on your weapons.

Automotive-type lubes were not designed to protect an open assembly like a firearm. Wear is far less of a concern compared to corrosion.

I prefer to use something that has been tested and used as a gun care product for a long while, and is proven safe and effective.

There's a ton of good stuff out there, but read into it a bit before you buy it, and don't get concerned with whether or not you are using the "best" of anything. If it works for you, then you're good to go.
